The Stuart Public Library has many fun events for youth and their other patrons, but sometimes plans need to change because of weather.
Library Director Lisa Sherman says that the library always intends to keep to their schedule of events to continue providing fun, educational and entertaining content to their patrons, but that sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate with those plans. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that an easy way to know if library plans will be affected, is if the school day is affected.
“The Stuart Public Library follows the West Central Valley School District weather guidelines. If school is canceled, the library will be closed. If there is a two-hour school delay, the library will open two hours late, and all morning programs will be canceled.”
Sherman mentions that this allows them to be consistent with providing their services, especially to the youth of the community. She adds that for the most up-to-date information, they encourage individuals to follow the library on Facebook.
