The leader of the Raccoon River Northwest Wrestling Team explains how he tries to create a positive team environment.

Raccoon River Northwest is a combination of four schools, including Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, Van Meter, Waukee, and Waukee Northwest. Head Coach James Biscoglia shares that the motto of the team is “Together We Rise,” and acknowledges that he sees that on constant display between the athletes.

“I think the girls here do a really good job of when they get to the practice, interacting (with each other), and then after meets, and after practices, and on weekends, I see them all doing stuff together and that’s respective of what schools they go to.”

Biscoglia, who is a father to his daughter Katie on the team, says that he gets a unique perspective of seeing the girls engage with each other throughout the year. RRNW will travel to Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs tomorrow for the Lewis Central Girls Dual Tournament, beginning at 9am.
