Private family services for Shawn Thomas Stewart, 47, of Carroll, will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. A celebration of Shawn’s life will be held at a later date.

Shawn is survived by his three children: Trystan Stewart (fiancée Trish Wolterman) of Templeton, Kyra Kane-Stewart of Ames, and Ashlyn Stewart of Carroll; his mother Jodie Jansen (Tim) of Carroll; a step-sister Cassie Jansen of Ankeny; a step-brother Jake Jansen (Monica) of Waukee; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his special uncle David Duncan.
