Adel-DeSoto-Minburn senior Anna Holloway describes the advantages that come with playing volleyball with joy.

Following the 2025 season, Holloway is sitting ninth on the ADM All-Time Volleyball list in Kills Per Set, at approximately 3.3 a game, and then is seventh in Ace Serves in season with 56.

When it comes to putting power behind her swing, Holloway explains that she has trust in herself, as she put plenty of time into the weight room strength training and then practicing the way she’s planning to perform. She shares how the team is able to play with joy, amidst the competitive nature of volleyball.

“We uplift each other and brush off our mistakes. We try to dial in on the next play, rather than hanging our heads maybe on the previous one. And that strategy is crucial to being the best volleyball player mentally and physically.”

The Tigers concluded the season with a record of 23-9 overall (7-1 inside the Raccoon River Conference), losing to Dallas Center-Grimes in Class 4A Regional Championship game in three sets on October 28th.
