The West Central Valley Girls Wrestling Team will participate in their first competition for the first time in two weeks tomorrow in Clarinda.

The Wildcats will take part in their seventh meet of the season, last competing on December 16th in a home triangular in Stuart. West Central Valley beat Southwest Valley during that match, where Lorelei Grinnell (110 lbs.), Elizabeth Handy (125 lbs.), and Elyzah Olson (190 lbs.) tallied victories in their respective weight classes. Wildcats Head Coach Amanda Carl outlines the skills the girls are working on prior to the competition.

“Our shots, finishing them. Our pinning combinations, following through. Just tuning up the little fine things to make it all come together.”

The meet will feature appearances from 19 other schools, and is set to take place from Clarinda High School tomorrow at 10am.
