Both girls’ and boys’ varsity wrestling teams get back to the mats on Saturday for DCG as they hit the road for the first time since going on winter break.

The boys stay in the Des Moines metro, traveling to Valley High School for the Valley Duals, which includes eight separate teams. Clear Creek, Muscatine, Ankeny Centennial, Indianola, Iowa City West, and Marshalltown join the Tigers and Mustangs for a day-long wrestling event inside the Valley Fieldhouse.

The girls have a longer journey ahead of them as they head to the Cedar Rapids area in Eastern Iowa. Center Point-Urbana High School is hosting 20 schools at the CPU Varsity Girls Wrestling Invitational. This massive event includes top girls’ wrestling programs from all around the state of Iowa, and DCG is honored to be involved.

Both schools look to start the new year on the right foot with their first bouts of 2026.
