The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball Teams are set to resume the 2025-26 season at home this afternoon with a non-conference battle against Van Meter.
The Tiger girls have played eight games, posting a record of 4-4, while the boys have participated in six contests, resulting in a 5-1 mark. ADM’s girls are being led in scoring by sophomore Ella Subbert, who is averaging 14 points per game on 44 percent shooting, then for the Tiger boys, it’s senior Hudson Lorensen who is sitting at 20.3 points a contest on 50 percent shooting from the field, and 53 percent from beyond the three-point arc. ADM Boys Head Coach Trevor Mickelson is ready for the second half of the season.
“Excited to get back in our own gym and hopefully play well. It’s going to be our Alumni Night, so we’re recognizing any former basketball player, boys or girls. Van Meter is a tough team, they’ve had a pretty good start to their year. They have a couple of left-handed guards that are very talented, (and) provide some different challenges for us and their ability to make shots off the dribble. So, we’ll have to be really solid against them and we think if we can execute our stuff offensively, we’ll have opportunities to get really good looks, and it just comes down to making plays and making shots.”
The game between the Tigers and Bulldogs will be the 15th meeting for the girls and only the third for the boys. Action is taking place inside ADM High School’s North Gym in Adel, with the girls tipping off at 2:30pm, followed by the boys afterwards.
