Panorama sophomore dancer Berkley Schwartz outlines the skills she’s acquired from the coaches early on in her high school career.

Schwartz accomplished a lot with the Panthers’ Dance Team this year, as the girls marked five soloists within the top-10 at the Iowa State Dance/Drill Team Association Championships in Des Moines during December. Unlike many of her teammates, Schwartz wasn’t dancing from a young age, but reveals that Head Coach Kristi Vance quickly caught her up to speed.

“I started kind of late in the game, so I was older, but I had previous experience tumbling, so that helped. But she (Kristi Vance) just pretty much taught me everything I need to know about dance.”

Schwartz shares that any moment spent with her teammates is a bonding experience, and is grateful for all the relationships she’s created.
