With the upcoming legislative session in Iowa, there is an opportunity for 4-H members.

Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that the Extension and 4-H Voices at the Capital is later this month. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that 4-H members will be able to attend the legislative session on January 21st to represent their clubs and counties, share their stories and experiences, and get a chance to witness civic engagement and leadership up close. Savage mentions that for those interested, registration for the event will need to be turned in by January 13th on 4honline.com. She adds that they can also provide a letter for a request of an excused absence from school for that day.
