During the organizational meeting of the Greene County Board of Supervisors earlier this month, there was a change in leadership.

Dawn Rudolph became the new Supervisor Chair, taking over for John Muir, who served as the Chair for several years and will continue to serve as a Supervisor. Rudolph talks about Muir’s commitment to the Board and serving in the leadership role for so many years.

“John has been a great Chairperson for our Board and he’s done an outstanding job. We thank you for all that he’s done. You know, there’s a lot of behind the scenes things, you know maybe some of the other Board members don’t always get their hands on. But we certainly thank you for his time.”

Rudolph previously served as the Vice Chair and she talks about taking reins as the Chair.

“It’s an honor. I know it is some additional work. I’m ready to step up to the plate and do whatever is needed to cover those extra duties. I’m glad that the Board feels that I can fulfill that position and that they have the trust in me to carry out those duties.”

The Board also selected Supervisor Pete Bardole to be the new Vice Chair.
