Greene County sends its varsity basketball teams to Jewell tonight to face the South Hamilton Hawks in a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference girl/boy doubleheader on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

The Rams are 3-7 in girls’ basketball while the Hawks were 4-5 prior to hosting Ft. Dodge St. Edmond last night. On the boys’ side, Greene County is 1-9 with a nine game losing streak and SH entered their Thursday night game vs. St. Edmond with losses in all nine games they’ve played.

After tonight, the Rams play Monday in Manson vs. Manson-Northwest Webster, Tuesday in Perry, and at home on Jan. 16 vs. Grand View Christian (Des Moines). The 2026 Greene County High School Athletics Hall of Fame Class will be introduced to the basketball crowd on Jan. 16 with a public reception and induction ceremony at the high school in Jefferson on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 6 p.m.
