
The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Monday night.
The Council will consider for approval a merit badge for Scout Troop 167, hearing from Wiley Chumos of 308 North Main Street, and they will hold a nuisance violation hearing for a property at 616 North Fremont Street. They will then consider for approval 2026 contributions for Midwest Partnership and Region XII Council of Governments, before holding a pre-renewal re-introduction with United Risk Services.
The Council will also consider for approval an amendment to an agreement with Veenstra and Kimm for the Wambold Phase 3 Housing Project, and Central Mart I, LLC Tax Increment Financing application. Also on the agenda for consideration is a right of way ramp proposal on 100 Northwest 2nd Street from Duncan Construction, and a resolution approving a payment to Duncan Construction, LLC for the Community Catalyst Building Remediation Grant and request funding from the state of Iowa.
The Council will then consider a proposal regarding an employment attorney, the approval of two plats of survey and direct the city attorney to prepare deeds for the transfer of detention basin property to the City of Stuart regarding All Saints Addition lots 32 and 33. They will also consider for approval reinstatement of the Cemetery Committee, a City Council Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics, and finish with an application for a residential tax abatement presented by Stuart Economic Development Director Matt Funk.
