After serving as the superintendent of the Perry Community School District for nine years, Clark Wicks has announced his retirement at the end of the current school year.

Wicks has served in various public education roles over the past 46 years, including teacher, coach, principal and superintendent in five school districts. 

He was hired as principal at Lincoln and Webster Elementary in 1989 while also serving kindergarten students housed at Perry Junior High School. He was then named superintendent at Perry Schools in 2017.

His last day with the Perry Community School District will be June 30.
