Greene County ISU Extension will be hosting its second Ag Coffee of the season later this week.

Greene County Extension Director Jeff Lamoureux says the “Scams, Fraud and Digital Safety” is the topic for this Friday’s Ag Coffee from 9:30-11am at the Extension Office in Jefferson. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that ISU Extension Health and Human Sciences Educator Ryan Stuart will lead the discussion.

“Maybe people think, ‘Well that’s not really ag-related,’ but I think it’s something for the community that the community would be interested in. Really, it’s kind of relevant right now. We know there’s a lot of that stuff going on in the community. You hear about it through our banking systems, people, especially some of the vulnerable population that people prey on. So we thought this would be a good topic to hit on.”

Lamoureux details that the program is free and it is sponsored by NEW Cooperative.
