The boys’ bowling team from Greene County High School improved to 4-1 after defeating Gilbert on Monday at Sparetime Lanes in Jefferson, but the Rams fell to 2-3 in girls’ bowling with a loss to the Tigers.

The Rams won 2,835-2,632 and Gilbert fell to 2-5 in boys’ bowling. Greene County sophomore Jared Dawson had a career night with a two game series of 462 to claim high series of the day. Chase Deike of Gilbert was second at 439. The other Rams and their two game totals are junior Chase Fecher 431, junior Jacob Rumley 368, senior Teagan Chisholm 365 and senior Trenton Lee 326. Fecher had the high game for the match at 237, two pins better than Deike’s 235. Dawson’s best game was 233.

The girls from Gilbert are now 5-2 after beating the Rams, 1,868-1,737. That score was a season high by four pins for the Rams. Gilbert went 1-2 in high series with Alenandria Weary at 323 and Alyse Beyer at 316. Sophomore Trinity Hull led the Rams at 292, followed by Elizabeth Lizzy Long 270, junior Shelby Finley 218, junior Sara Stoffa 205, freshman Chloe Rumley 188 and 146 from sophomore Ella Hoffman. Hull’s high game was 166 with a 146 the high game for Long.
