It was an electrifying finish at Perry High School on Tuesday as the Perry Jayettes played host to the Greene County Rams for Heart of Iowa conference action. Perry had a strong start, but a well executed second half push by the Rams and some costly fouls by the Jayettes led Greene County ahead 47-46 in the final seconds.

It was a very strong start for the Jayettes, who secured the lead in the first quarter and held their lead until the fourth. With an eight point lead at halftime leading Greene County 25-17, the Rams began to battle back in the third outscoring Perry 16-11 but the Jayettes held on to a three point lead entering the fourth ahead 36-33. Kate Schuttler ended the night with 18 points, with Myers behind her with 15, but a last second foul with a tie game granted the Rams the victory in the end 47-46.

Now at 1-8 in conference play, the Jayettes travel to West Marshall on Friday to battle the Trojans. Tip off is scheduled for 6pm for another Heart of Iowa conference match up.
