With less than a month to go, the Perry Chamber is seeking volunteers to help prepare for the Bike Ride to Rippey.

The 49th annual Bike Ride to Rippey is set to return on Saturday, February 7. Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti says the BRR shirts have arrived and volunteers are needed to help stuff registration packets.

A group helped make a dent in folding the shirts to be added to the packets yesterday, though Pasutti adds that more volunteers are always needed. In addition to helping stuff packets, volunteers will also be needed the day of the event.

She says those interested in signing up to volunteer can fill out a form through SignUp Genius or can call or stop by the chamber office.

“We can put you to work right on the spot or we can help get you signed up. Give us a call and we’ll let you know when we’re folding shirts and packing packets. And then what’s available day-of. We have day-of registration and check-in and packet pick-up and even just helping out on the road for the ride. It’s a big ordeal coming all together and it’s really fun to be a part of it.

Registration for BRR continues through Eventbrite. Pasutti details that the first 300 registrants will receive a commemorative pin. As of yesterday, they were 21 riders shy of hitting that mark. Riders will also receive a T-shirt, discounts at area shops and restaurants and an event wristband with specials and freebies.

Pasutti is looking forward to seeing the annual ride return next month.

“We are getting ready for BRR and it’s very exciting. This is our 49th year so we’re building that momentum for the 50th year next year. This is a long-standing tradition not only for our community but the biking community.”
