The Adair County Cattlemen are holding their annual banquet this weekend.

Member Clark Dolch mentions that the event will be held at the Adair County Fairgrounds Saturday night, with a social hour to start off the night, followed by a prime rib dinner catered by Chuckwagon Restaurant. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio what will happen after eating.

“Once we get through supper, we’re going to go into our annual meeting portion of it, which includes our annual Friend of the Cattlemen Award. We choose one person in Adair County to receive that award. And then we also have the Heifer Project Award, where we award a seventh, eighth, or ninth grade student three heifers. And this year it was two based on the price.”

Clark mentions that they will also award their scholarships for the year, then hold their live auction. He adds that there is currently a silent auction going on on their Facebook page as well. The social hour starts at 5pm, with the dinner to begin at 6pm, and the auction to follow.
