The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council approved resolutions to authorize the destruction of certain city records per Iowa Code, annual wage adjustments for city employees, and annual appointments. They then heard an update from Compliance Officer Wes Clark on some property owners that he’s working with to improve conditions noted in nuisance violations. The Council then approved a maintenance agreement contract with Nebraska Generator for $7,585.12, and the purchase of two new copier/printer units for City Hall and the Public Works building for $5,580, as the current machines being used were over a decade old and replacement parts are no longer available.
