The Stuart Police Department recently announced that it is partnering with Police Legal Sciences, a Washington, Iowa–based company, for officer training in 2026.
According to the department, this new collaboration reinforces their dedication to ongoing education, accountability, and providing the best service to the community. Police Legal Sciences, which has trained over 10,000 officers in Iowa and Missouri since 1999, specializes in high-quality instruction focusing on legal updates, case law, and practical application for daily police work.
The department shares that through this partnership, all Stuart officers, including the chief, will participate in required annual training as well as additional, monthly sessions. This ensures the entire department stays current in an ever-changing profession by focusing on recent case law and changes in the law, thereby maintaining the department’s high professional standards.
