Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball Head Coach Trevor Mickelson highlights all the great aspects that senior Trey Bryte brings to the team.
The Tigers are off to a 9-1 start, as their only loss on the season is to Ballard. During ADM’s ninth contest against Boone this past Friday, Bryte passed former Tiger point guard Rhylan Stine-Smith for the most assists in school history with 243. Head Coach Trevor Mickelson says that Bryte is a hardworking player and is so dynamic in many ways.
“He’s one of a kind. He’s put in a ton of work on his game, and he’s still undecided on where he’s going to go (to college), but wherever he lands, he’s going to have a heck of a career because he rebounds well, he defends, and with his vision, as soon as he gets a rebound, he is instantly in attack mode (and) he’s just such a great playmaker.”
Mickelson shares that he is fortunate to coach him, and in a world where most players care about highlight reels, he emphasizes that Bryte is focusing on making the right play. ADM will be back in Adel tomorrow to host North Polk, as the girls start at 6pm with the boys to follow.
