It’s a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference boys’ wrestling triangular in Jefferson tonight for the Greene County Rams. Coach Zach Beekman’s team will host PCM (Monroe) and South Hamilton (Jewell) with action starting at 5:30 p.m. Some schedules had a 6 p.m. start, but Raccoon Valley Radio verified with Activities Director Dave Wright this morning that wrestling does indeed begin at 5:30 p.m.

The Rams have a 1-12 dual meet record while PCM is 2-4 in dual meets and SH is 2-5. All three teams have not been able to fill all 14 weight classes, creating forfeits for their opponents, which means giving away six points each time a weight class is open.

The Rams are led by junior Brennan Jacobs at 106 lbs. He’s 20-1 on the season and hasn’t lost since early December. Jacobs is coming off an impressive showing to win his weight class at the Rollin Dyer Invitational last Saturday in Atlantic.

After tonight, the Rams are home just once more this season vs. CAM (Anita) and Manson-Northwest Webster on Jan. 27.
