Greene County basketball is hosting Grand View Christian of Des Moines in Jefferson at the high school tonight on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame Class will be introduced at halftime of the girls’ game, then at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the high school a reception free and open to the public will be followed by the induction ceremony in the auditorium.

The Greene County girls are 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the league while the Thunder will be going for the two game conference sweep and they enter tonight at 9-3, 6-3. On the boys’ side, the Thunder stand at 5-6, 5-4, and the Rams, who lost at GVC, are 3-10, 2-7.

The 2026 Hall of Fame Class includes the Jefferson-Scranton 1989 State Champion Shuttle Hurdle Relay, the  1994 J-S State Champion 4 x 100 meter Relay, Bob Allen (football) J-S Class of ’98, Jeremy Thompson (baseball) J-S ’98, and Junior Gutierres (soccer), Greene County 2020.
