It’s a big day for the Perry Jayettes wrestling team as the Jayettes host 11 other teams for the Perry Girls Wrestling Tournament. This is the only home tournament for the Jayettes this season, as they play host to some great wrestling programs including: Dallas Center-Grimes, Nevada, Grinnell, and Southeast Polk.

Although the Jayettes do not have the numbers to fill out every weight class, the individual success speaks volumes for the Jayettes. Junior Cate Erickson enters tonight’s home meet with a 31-2 record, with Amelie Canales and Ayden Erickson also on a tear behind her, with 29-9 and 22-4 records respectively.

The Jayettes look to wrap up the week at home and continue their individual success, as Perry plays host to 11 other teams tonight. The action is set to begin at 5pm.
