The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council approved a resolution stating the intentions of the city with regard to the designation of the Panora Urban Revitalization Area and the restated plan therefore, then heard from Midwest Partnership Executive Director on their annual update, and request for funding for 2026. They also named Council member Brian Dorsett as the city’s representative for the county’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Advisory Committee, with Council member Roger Dorr as the alternate, then approved reappointments to city boards.

The Council then approved the fiscal year 2026 fire department and EMS volunteer rosters, a policy regarding requests to discharge firearms within city limits on private AG zoned property, and the fiscal year 2025 audit. Final items approved by the Council included an updated EMS constitution and bylaws, an increase in ambulance transport fees through EMS/MC, and the annual support request from Region XII Council of Governments Housing Trust Fund for $1,000.
