The Dallas County Cattlemen’s Association will hold its annual banquet tonight.

Vice President Noah Taylor says the banquet will be held at Country Lane Lodge in Adel.

The social part of the banquet will start at 5:30 p.m. A prime rib dinner will be served at 7 p.m., followed by an auction.

Taylor explains the importance of the annual banquet.

“It’s one of our main events and at the meeting, we’ll go through what we did throughout the year as well. But it’s a good chance to get out and see everyone and talk to other cattle producers.”

Taylor details that funds raised during the evening will be used to support local youth at the Dallas County Fair along with beef promotion and grilling events throughout the year.

He adds that the dinner is free to 2026 association members. Memberships can be purchased at the door. Tickets for the banquet can also be purchased for $25 at the door.
