The Panorama Girls Basketball Team welcomed Van Meter into Panora on Friday, losing the contest 69-44.

The Bulldogs raced out to a 20-10 first quarter lead, then duplicated it in the second quarter, charging to a 40-24 advantage at the halftime break. Van Meter won the second half 29-20, cruising to a 69-44 victory over the Panthers.

Panorama had great contributions from sophomore Ashley Crees, who led the way with 11 points, followed by senior Morgan Crees with 10, and freshman Lexi Galvan’s 9 points.

The Bulldogs improve to 7-5 on the season, with the Panthers dropping to 3-10 overall. Van Meter will travel to Winterset on Monday to play the Huskies, and Panorama will hit the road to face Ankeny Christian on Monday at 6pm.
