The AC/GC Chargers hosted the CAM Cougars last night, and bagged a couple of victories.

In the girls game, the Chargers outscored the Cougars 20-12 in the first, but were outscored 9-12 in the second to go into the halftime break up 29-24. AC/GC then extended the lead by outscoring CAM 15-12 in the third to go up 44-36, and again in the final quarter 17-5 to finish with the 61-41 victory. Junior Stella Largent was a force on the boards, and at the hoop, putting up 25 of the team’s score, and hauling in eight rebounds. Senior Cam Richter was also in the double digits with 15 points, pulled down eight boards and secured five steals for the team.

In the boys game, the Chargers started off with an 18-11 lead, but were outscored by the Cougars 14-13 in the second quarter to go into halftime up 31-25. AC/GC once again outscored CAM in the third quarter, putting up a 24-15 performance to go up 55-40, then both teams put up 14 in the final quarter to end up with the 69-54 win. Senior Tommy Skram was a dominant force on the floor, putting up 27 points and collecting six steals. Fellow senior Joe Crawford also scored highly, putting up 20 points of his own, and junior Preston Kent scored 18 to round up the top three scorers on the night.

The Chargers return to action tonight with a road trip to Ogden to face the Bulldogs.
