
The West Central Valley Basketball Teams will make the short trip to Panora tonight to battle Panorama for a girl-boy double header.
In the girls matchup, the Wildcats enter the contest at 5-9 and the Panthers are sitting at 3-10 overall. West Central Valley is coming off a 36-27 win against Pleasantville on Friday, while Panorama recently lost 69-44 to Van Meter on Friday.
The Wildcats are led in scoring by senior Talia Williams at 7 points per game on 46 percent shooting from the floor, and for the Panthers, senior Morgan Crees is charging the way with 15 points per contest, including 71 percent from the free throw line.
On the boys side, West Central Valley has a record of 9-5, losing a tight game to Pleasantville 52-49 on Friday, and Panorama is 1-11 overall dropping their latest matchup on Friday to Van Meter 81-39.
Wildcats’ senior Kade Wilson is averaging 15 points per game on 52 percent shooting and 44 percent from behind the three-point arc, and Panthers’ junior Cruz Crandall is close to 17 points per contest on 38 percent shooting from the floor and 78 percent from the free throw line.
The game is set to tip off from Panorama High School in Panora tonight, with the girls at 6pm, followed by the boys afterwards.
