The Perry Bluejays basketball team traveled to Munroe to PCM High School and fell to the Mustangs 65-41 in Heart of Iowa Conference play on Tuesday. Perry falls to 3-11 overall and 3-8 in conference play.

It was a back and forth contest in the first quarter, but PCM went on a run towards the end of the first to establish a 14-5 lead over the Bluejays. The Mustang defense held Perry’s offense to only single digit scoring again in the second, to take a 32-14 lead going into halftime. In the second half, the Bluejays began to bounce back, scoring 13 points in the third and 14 in the fourth, but the Mustang offense held on, to secure a 65-41 victory over Perry. Luke Adair shinned in the final half, especially in the fourth quarter, ending the night as leading scorer for the Bluejays with 15 points with Gustavo Drahos behind him with 11, before fouling out in the fourth.

The Bluejays fall to 3-11 overall and 3-8 in conference play. Perry looks to bounce back on Thursday, wrapping up the week with another conference match up at Roland-Story High School to face off against the Norsemen. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
