Perry High School students will get the chance to travel abroad for the first time in years next summer.

The Perry School Board heard a discussion about an international Spanish trip in December before approving it during the January 12 meeting. 

Trip organizers say they hope to travel to Latin America in the summer of 2027. Organizers add that the goal is to have 12 junior and senior students for the first trip and they are looking to offer it every other year.
