Guthrie County State Bank (GCSB) is once again partnering with Guthrie County residents and the New Opportunities Guthrie County Family Development Center for their annual Souper Bowl canned soup drive.

According to GCSB Communications Coordinator Lila Lutz, this is an ongoing effort since 2019. In that first year, 141 cans were donated, and GCSB matched the total for 282 cans of soup. Last year, the community donated 600 cans, which resulted in 1,200 cans of soup after the bank’s match. Donations can be dropped off at either the Guthrie Center or Panora GCSB locations until February 11th. All soup collected will be given to New Opportunities for their outreach food pantry shelves to help fight hunger and assist families in Guthrie County.
