The Greene County High School basketball teams will be on the road for their next three contests, all in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. That stretch starts this Friday with the longest road trip on the schedule when Greene County visits PCM in Monroe. The road swing continues with a trip to Nevada on Jan. 27 and concludes with games vs. Roland-Story on Jan. 30 in Story City.
All three teams have winning records in both girls and boys basketball. The PCM girls are ranked seventh in Class 3A and enter the week with a 13-1 overall record while the girls from Nevada started this week with eight wins and Roland-Story had nine. The boys from PCM had nine victories to start the week with 10 for Nevada and eight for Roland-Story.
On the bright side, four of the five wins for the Greene County girls (5-10) have been away from home, and all three victories for the boys (3-11) have been on the road. All Ram basketball games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
