Now that the weather has turned colder, a popular activity is returning to Adel.

The ice skating rink at the Community Stage by Raccoon Valley bank opened yesterday. Adel Parks & Rec says the rink is free and open to the public throughout the day, although there are lights available at night to continue skating.

A wooden shed is located near the rink with skates available to use, provided by Adel Parks & Rec. The department asks participants to return their skates when done, so others can use them.
