With extremely cold temperatures set to hit Iowa tomorrow, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball Teams will travel to Winterset tonight for a Raccoon River Conference matchup.
The Tigers are coming off contests in Carroll on Tuesday, as the girls won their eighth game 55-43, but the boys fell in their second match overall, losing 60-53. Looking ahead to tonight’s game, Tiger sophomore Ella Subbert is averaging close to 14 points per game on 46 percent shooting from the floor, and is also grabbing 9.4 rebounds. For the Huskies, leading scorer is junior Natalie Smith at 14 points per contest on 53 percent shooting from the field and is notching 7 rebounds.
On the boys side, ADM senior Hudson Lorensen is sitting at 22 points per game, 52 percent shooting from the floor, and 94 percent from the free throw line, with senior Trey Bryte averaging close to 8 assists per game. Winterset senior Jake Hall is the leading scorer at 12 points a contest on 44 percent shooting, as senior Jace Bellamy is grabbing 7.2 rebounds.
The Tigers took the first matchup earlier this season back on December 12th, with the girls winning 61-23, and the boys took care of business at 63-39. The game tonight will get rolling at 6pm starting with the girls and the boys will follow. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting around 5:45pm.
