Nominations for an iconic award in Greene County is closing soon.
Tower of Fame Award Chair Carole Custer says this recognition is given to someone who has had international, national or statewide professional or personal accomplishments, while also having made Greene County their home at some point in their lives. Last year’s recipient was Michael Brady, who was a 1961 Jefferson High School graduate who is recognized for making 3M products such as Post It Notes and Scotch Tape possible, along with creating the glass for cell phones and cellular ceramics for automotive catalytic converters from Corning.
Custer points out nominations must be submitted by February 13th to the Welcome Center in Jefferson. Nomination forms are available online by clicking here. Announcement of this year’s recipient will be made prior to this year’s Bell Tower Festival.
