
The Perry Bluejays basketball team faced off against the Roland-Story Norsemen on Thursday in Heart of Iowa Conference play, and fell to Roland-Story 85-48.
After giving up 26 points to an explosive Norsemen offense in the first quarter, the Bluejays began to build some momentum scoring eleven in the second for a halftime score of 43-17. In the second half, George Krohn turned up the heat for the Perry offense, ending the night with 16 points, with six beyond the arc, to lead the Bluejays. Gustavo Drahos, held to only four in the first half, ended the night with 13 points working alongside Krohn for a second half comeback but Perry fell in the end 85-48.
The Bluejays now fall to 3-12, and return to action on Tuesday, playing host to the Saydel Eagles in Heart of Iowa Conference play. Tip off is schedule for 7:30pm.
