
Greene County hosted Nevada on Thursday at Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson in Heart of the Raccoon Conference high school bowling. The Cubs won the girls’ match 1,786-1,688, and the Rams took the boys’ contest 2,917-2,614 pins. John Woodford is the coach of both Greene County teams and the girls are now 2-6 while the boys stand at 7-1 with seven straight wins. The girls from Nevada have a 5-7 record and the boys are 3-6. Thursday’s action was the last at home this season for the Rams.
Sophomore Trinity Hull had the highest two game series for the Rams at 269, followed by junior Shelby Finley 214, senior Alivia Cornell 212, freshman Chloe Rumley 205, and sophomore Ella Hoffman 188. Hull’s best game on Thursday was 140 with 114 by Cornell, Finley 109, Rumley 107, and 102 for Hoffman.
The Greene County boys were led by senior Teagan Chisholm’s 443 two-game series. Junior Chase Fecher had 397 poins with 376 from sophomore Jared Dawson, 357 by junior Jacob Rumley, and 355 by junior Damein Hull. Chisholm had the high game among Greene County bowlers at 240. Rumley’s high game was 204 with 201 by Dawson, 200 from Fecher, and Hull at 179.
