An organization in Minburn is raising funds for the fire department during an annual event tomorrow. 

The Minburn Emergency Rescue Team invites the public to  its soup and pie fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Minburn United Methodist Church, 705 Chestnut Street in Minburn.

Assistant Fire Chief Dan Case says the event will feature homemade chili, potato and split pea soups along with a variety of desserts and drinks. Dine in or carryout options will be available.

Case adds that a free-will donation will be taken with proceeds going to fund equipment, training and other special projects for the Minburn Fire and Rescue Department.
