The West Central Valley Boys Wrestling Team hit the road to Martensdale on Thursday to participate in a varsity triangular, falling in matches to Earlham 58-12 and Martensdale-St. Mary’s 41-15.
Despite the losses, big wins for the Wildcats in the matches included Cody Rodriguez, at 150 pounds, beating Earlham’s Josh Winey in an 11-8 decision, then also defeating Martensdale-St. Mary’s Reese Nichols by a 17-5 major decision, and it was Mason Fuller (138 lbs.) winning over Martensdale-St. Mary’s Max Eckelberg by a 28-8 technical fall.
West Central Valley will be back in action tomorrow in Truro for the Interstate 35 Wrestling Tournament at I-35 High School, starting at 9am. The full results from the Martensdale-St. Mary’s Triangular can be found below.
