The Panorama Basketball Teams hosted AC/GC for a girl-boy double header in Panora on Friday, as the Panthers fell in both contests, losing 43-11 in the girls game, and 85-43 for the boys.

During the first matchup in Guthrie Center on December 19th in the girls game, the Panthers jumped on the Chargers in the first half to lead 17-12, but AC/GC rallied in the second half to win 45-35. Flash forward to Friday’s matchup in Panora, the Chargers were the enforcers in the first half, taking a 15-6 advantage into the halftime locker room. AC/GC outscored Panorama 28-5 in the second half to win 43-11, allowing their fewest points this season.

The Chargers improve to 12-3 on the season, while the Panthers fall to 5-11 overall.

For the boys contest, AC/GC raced out to a quick 20-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Chargers began to pull away from the Panthers on its way to a 51-23 halftime advantage. AC/GC notched 34 points in the second half, compared to Panorama, who captured 20, which led to a 85-43 victory for the Chargers.

With the win, AC/GC climbs to 6-8 on the year, and Panorama drops to 1-14 overall.

The Chargers will have a non-conference on Monday, hosting Clarinda, and the Panthers will travel to Elk Horn on Monday for a matchup versus Exira-EHK.
