Panorama Boys Basketball Head Coach Josh Beardsley describes the close bonds with the girls squad.
Beardsley reveals that the boys will sit in the gym to watch the girls team play the first half of their contest, before they go into the locker room to prepare for their game. He mentions that the girls will return the favor by coming out during their game to cheer them on.
Beardsley expresses that it doesn’t just stop with the players, but himself and the Panthers Girls Head Coach Randy Miller will have conversations with each other, as they both are in year number two with the school. He elaborates that they address the high and low points with one another.
“The pain is very similar for both of us, and the success too. So, we’re able to talk to each other and it makes it nice to have someone as a coach that you can talk with on that, but player wise, they are boys and girls but we ride the same bus, we are following each other after practice, so you get to know everyone on both programs pretty well because we spend a lot of time together.”
Beardsley notes that he loves getting to share the game of basketball with young men and watch how they continue to develop. The Panthers will travel to Elk Horn tomorrow for a matchup with Exira-EHK, beginning at 7:45pm.
