Mustangs girls basketball hits the road to Ankeny to take on the Hawks for their final non-conference matchup of the 2025-2026 regular season.

The Hawks are 10-4 overall this year and 7-4 in the CIML. Ankeny is just coming off a hard-fought victory over the Waukee Warriors, which included a 25-point second quarter and a 27 point performace from senior Jayla Williams to earn the win on Tuesday night. Williams is the Hawks’ leading scorer this season, averaging 20.4 points per game, which puts her in the top 30 for scoring leaders in Iowa girls’ basketball.

The Mustangs are coming off an impressive 52-35 win at home over the Williamsburg Raiders on Friday night. Ava Smid paved the way with 14 points, 10 of which came in the third quarter, as she was the leading scorer on the evening. DCG is 11-2(5-1) and looks to build momentum with a win in Ankeny before the home stretch of the season.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 pm from Ankeny, and you can catch the action on KDLS and racconvalleyradio.com.
