It’s girl/boy high school basketball in Churdan tonight in the Rolling Valley Activities Conference as Paton-Churdan host the Spartans of Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton. Coach Tom Kennedy’s girls’ team is 2-13 and Coach Josh Cerveny’s boys’ squad has a record of 5-11. EEHK was 14-1 in girls’ basketball to begin the week and the Spartans are ranked number 8 in Class 1A by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. EEHK was 0-13 on the boys’ side at the start of this week.

The Greene County teams are at Nevada tonight in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. The girls’ game is at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow. Coverage on KG98 and streaming on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com starts around 5:45 p.m. The girls from Greene County are 5-11 and the boys are 3-12 while the Nevada girls are 8-6 and the Cubs are 11-2 in boys’ basketball.
