The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball Teams were able to cruise past Bondurant-Farrar in a Raccoon River Conference (RRC) matchup on Tuesday in Adel, as the girls won 53-29, and the boys were victorious 73-32.

In the girls game, the Tigers got rolling early getting to a 15-5 lead after the first quarter. ADM extended their mark in the second to hold a 25-10 advantage at the halftime break. The Tigers’ 16 third quarter points distanced themselves from the Bluejays, leading 41-19 at the end of three, then finished the game by a final score of 53-29.

ADM had a very balanced attack, with junior Alexis Maxwell in front with 10 points, followed by junior Bella Spreacker, and sophomores Aubrey Noring and Ella Subbert with 9 points each, and senior Lauren Hagedorn concluding with 8 points.

Bondurant-Farrar falls to 6-9 on the season (4-7 RRC), while ADM improves to 10-6 overall (9-3 RRC).

On the boys side, the Tigers started strong, leading 16-9 at the end of one quarter. ADM ramped up the offense in the second quarter with 23 points, to take a 39-20 advantage into halftime. The third quarter saw the Tigers’ defense make a statement, only allowing three points, while notching 19 to lead 58-23, then capturing another 15 points to take the win at 73-32.

ADM was charged by senior Hudson Lorensen, who had 22 points, then senior Trey Bryte with 12, and senior Eli Wiebers tallying 10 points on the night. The Bluejays drop to 3-10 on the year (2-9 RRC), as the Tigers climb to 13-2 overall (10-2 RRC).

Bondurant-Farrar will hit the road to Boone on Friday to face the Toreadors, and ADM will welcome Ballard to Adel for a matchup versus the Bombers on Friday.
