Paton-Churdan

The varsity basketball teams from Paton-Churdan played Tuesday night in Churdan, splitting a pair of Rolling Valley Activities Conference contests with Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton. The Rockets are in action tonight at Stuart vs. West Central Valley in non-conference play, then go to RVAC opponent Glidden-Ralston in Glidden tomorrow night.

The P-C girls are 2-14 and the boys have a 6-11 record. WCV is 6-10 in girls’ basketball and the Wildcats have a boys record of 10-5. Junior Alivya Smith averages nearly 10 points per game for the Rockets in girls’ hoops with junior Kaliyah Minnihan and freshman Edynn Smith both between 6.1 and 6.5 points per contest. The Rockets boys are led in scoring by junior Trevon Keely at nearly 20 points per game, followed by senior Cayden Stream at more than 13 per contest.
