A Jefferson man was sentenced to prison for domestic abuse.
According to court documents, 57-year-old Anthony Nunez pled guilty to two separate cases, including a simple misdemeanor for domestic abuse assault and a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault. Court documents show that he was sentenced to five years in prison for the felony conviction and that was to be served consecutively with the 30 day sentence for the misdemeanor.
The charges stem from two separate incidents that happened within three months of each other. The first incident happened in August of 2025 and the second was in November of that same year, where verbal arguments turned physical against the victims.
He was also ordered to pay over $200 in fines and surcharges and the no contact orders have been removed.
