The Panorama School District recently received an item dedicated in memory of a former student.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that a motorized flag for the gymnasium was given by the family of Liberty Ashworth, who unfortunately passed from her battle with cancer. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the kind of person Ashworth was.
“She was someone that just loved being around people, loved being around friends, had a great family around her that was also really supportive. You know, so she was truly someone that enjoyed life and enjoyed trying to help others. I mean, that was what she did. She had a beautiful voice, and she sang and she was someone that people will remember because of who she was.”
Huebner mentions that the family wanted to honor Liberty, and worked with him to get the flag, and have it dedicated in her name. He adds that it is a great way to honor who Liberty was, and make sure that she is remembered by those who know her, and anyone who may visit the gymnasium.
