Multiple entities in Dallas County are partnering to promote walking starting tomorrow.
Walk With Ease is sponsored by Dallas County Health Department, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Dallas County, City of Perry and the Arthritis Foundation.
Extension Marking Manager Sarah Wood says the six-week program is open to residents of all fitness levels.
“The Walk With Ease program is geared toward anyone who is wanting to just be a little bit more active as we start the new year. But especially for those who are looking to improve their balance and reduce pain, build some strength and stamina and some confidence in walking pace. That’s a really fun way for people to get together every couple days and get their exercise in.”
Wood adds that the program will be held weekly from 9-10 a.m. starting tomorrow and will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through March 13 at the McCreary Community Building, 1800 Pattee Street, in Perry.
Those interested can register at the front desk of the McCreary Building or can call 515-465–5621.
