Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is beginning a new fun activity club.

Youth Coordinator Rachel Muir says that they will be continuing the Special Interests (SPIN) Club, this time with a focus on using LEGO. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what the group will be doing.

“They will be learning through robotics, coding using the LEGO Spike Kits. Through this, they will code and teach the robots how to dance, build machines and engineer through teamwork and creativity.”

Muir mentions that the group will have the first meeting at the end of February, but that there are limited spaces for those interested in taking part. She adds that those wanting to join can contact the office by calling 641-747-2276 or emailing her at rmblum@iastate.edu.
